Zoo is the only place to see animals of wild in real to most of us. It is very amazing and curios to a child , visiting a zoo and see the animals and birds that may mere familiar with photos or videos.

In kerlala there have to zoos first one is in Trivandrum and second one is in Thrissur. As these zoos are operated under State Forest Department, Monday is not a day to visit these zoos, Monday is holiday to zoos.

The Trivandrum zoo is situated at heart of the city hardly 1 km away from Central railway station and bus station.It spread over 55 acres and has 75 species of animals and birds. It started in the period of royal rule in 1957 from a Napier museum that is near to zoo compound.

And the Thrissur Zoo is situated 2km Away from Town Near to art and archaeology Museum. It   spread over 5 acres,it opened in 1885.

Above all, in kerala there have some wild life sanctuaries  and one loin safari park in Kerala .But they could not offer all species as offered by a zoo., In sanctuaries one could see the animals in its natural habitat ,so they are in limited in variety, still some verities are unique.
