MOHINIYATTAM
The dance of Kerala,Mohiniyattam is one of the main classical dances of india.the special dressing and romantic movements give a special attraction and uniqueness to Mohiniyattam among other dances.The teaching of Mohiniyattam was started first in kalamandalam in thrissur,founded by Vallathol Narayana Menon,one of the great poets of Kerala.
THIRUVATHIRAKALI
One of the traditional arts of Kerala,Thiruvathirakali is played only by ladies.In olden days, it was played as a ritual in connection with the festival of Thiruvathira.Later on it has been staged as a folk art of competetive group dance items.Special lyrics have been composed for this.
