                Veli is a picnic spot where Veli lake meets Arabian Sea. It lies 1km from Sanghumugham beach in Thiruvananthapuram. A beautiful park,floating restaurant,youth hostel etc.....are the facilities. Pedal boats,paddle boats,speed boats and fibre glass boats are arranged for boating. It will be a fantastic experience.

KUMARAKOM

                Kumarakom is situated 12km away from Kottayom on the banks of lake Vembanad,Kumarakom is a gifted place with paddy fields,Coconut groves,mangrove forests,lakes and animals. Boating,fishing and site seeing facilities in the vembanad backwaters attract the tourists to kumarakom. A bird sanctuary is also located at kumarakom.
